Ombudsperson for Gender Equality in cooperation with CESI (Centre for Education, Counselling and Research) organized workshop „Equality for all“ in Rijeka, in hotel Bonavia, from 12-13 December 2019., activity within project “Equal rights – Equal Pay – Equal Pensions”. Aim of the education is to raise awareness abount gender pay and pension gap and achieve gender equality and combating poverty in Croatia. Topics during workshops were: project activities, issue of equal pay and pension; sex and gender; education and inequality at the labour market, balancing private and professional life… Institution from Belgium (Instituut voor de gelijkheid van vrouwen en mannen) presented good practices in achieving equal pay and pension in Belgium.
Workshops were held by Anamarija Tkalčec (CESI-Centre for Education, Counselling and Research), Jasna A. Petrović (Retired Persons’ Trade Union of Croatia), Hildegard van Hove (Instituut voor de gelijkheid van vrouwen en mannen) and Sanda Brumen (Ombudsperson for Gender Equality). There were 46 participants from institutions/organizations/schools: City of Rijeka; Committee for Gender Equality of City of Rijeka; surrounding cities: Kastav, Labin, Novi Vinodolski, Vrbnik; Centre for Social Welfare Rijeka; Department of emergency medicine Primorsko-goranska county; Faculty of Law in Rijeka; University of Rijeka; Polytechnic of Rijeka; Medical school in Rijeka; School of economics; Technical School of Mechanical Engineering; School of Natural Sciences and Graphic Communication Rijeka; Institute for Social Research in Zagreb; Retired Persons’ Trade Union of Croatia; Centre for women’s participation in social life and CESI,
