Invitation to the EU Equal Pay Day

Ombudsperson for gender equality invites you to EU Equal Pay Day on 4th November 2019 in Teatar&TD, Savska street 25 (Zagreb). Press conference will be held at 17.30 and performance Money is a noun of masculine gender at 18h.

EU Equal Pay Day marks the day when women symbolically stop getting paid compared to their male colleagues for the same job. Gender pay gap in EU was 16% in 2017.

Equal Pay Day in Croatia is organized within project “Equal rights – Equal pay – Equal pensions” – Expanding the scope of implementation of gender equality actions and legal standards towards achieving gender equality and combating poverty in Croatia, coordinated by Ombudsperson for gender equality.

Speakers: Višnja Ljubičić (Ombudsperson for gender equality); Blaženka Divjak (minister of science and education); Marija Pletikosa (state secretary in the Ministry of Demographics, Family, Youth and Social Policy, Special Envoy of Prime Minister of Croatia) and representatives of partners’ organization: Josip Šipić (Institute for Social Research in Zagreb); Anamarija Tkalčec (CESI – Centre for Education, Counselling and Research); Igor Knežević (Retired Persons’ Trade Union of Croatia).
