Women in EU earn 16,2% less than man, so EU equal pay day marks the 16% of the year when women work for free. The gender pay gap is a complex issue caused by: part-time work, low paid jobs, glass ceiling and responsibilities for domestic work. According to Croatian Bureau of Statistics in 2016, women get paid 13,2% less than men and activity rate in the labour market is 46,4%. It is worrying that difference in activity rate between men and women in the group age 50-64 is even 15,3%. It is due to the reason that that women are more involved in domestic work and family care. Gender pension gap is correlated with gender pay gap, therefore disadvantage position and risk poverty for women are present after market exit. Pension gap in Croatia is 21,6%. Pension gap leads to social exclusion, poverty and economic dependency, specially on marriage partners and other partners. Pension gap reflects labour market segregation and indicates that women work part time, have low hourly rate of pay, face with employment terminations and insufficient years of service due to unpaid domestic work and family care. European commisson report stated that pension gap depends on the number of children raised during life, there is higher pension gap for the population of married women and mothers than for the unmarried women without children.

After press conference there was performance Money is a noun of masculine gender, written by Petra Radin, directed by Mario Kovač, performed by Petra Težak, Petra Radin i Mario Kovač.
